I’m Rueben Millenaar, an illustrator interested in the complexities and contradictions of the world around us. I enjoy diving into challenging subjects, exploring unexpected perspectives and translating complex stories into distinctive visual ideas. My work combines research, conceptual thinking and a willingness to move beyond the obvious. I work on both editorial and commercial projects, collaborating with people and organizations who value curiosity, open-mindedness and a fresh perspective. I believe the best work comes from taking each other seriously, respecting each other’s ideas and giving room to explore. Interested in working together, or just having a chat? Feel free to call or email me. +31 6 34218141 rueben.millenaar@gmail.com https://www.ruebenmillenaar.com/illustrations daily 1.0 2026-10-28 https://www.ruebenmillenaar.com/illustrations/editorial-work monthly 0.5 2023-10-05 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/c43c5d5a-569f-4211-ba62-a3606b48c790/Pesticide_V1.png Illustrations - Editorial Work Follow the Money - The pesticide lobby and European Commision going on a trip https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/6d2dbd92-44d3-48c8-a724-030e339d8e20/Schone_Lei_Poster_V7.png Illustrations - Editorial Work Filmposter Schone Lei - 48 hour short movie project https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/0b118dd8-5bbe-4f55-9130-8d033563e1e5/Idee_5v2.png Illustrations - Editorial Work Follow the Money - Anyone can get a terrorist code https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/62b5d36d-14e6-46d2-9146-bb0405bcda99/Filmposter_-_Mijn_v3.png Illustrations - Editorial Work Filmposter Mijn - 48 hour short movie project https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/25f6b349-3f80-479c-9071-76f4a131cbe2/Indonesia_Roept.png Illustrations - Editorial Work VPRO Gids - 'Indonesia Roept' https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/185fdf4d-714b-44dc-a407-924ce5e8bb09/Complottheoriee%CC%88n_V2.png Illustrations - Editorial Work VPRO Gids - Conspiracy theories https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/b86a9adb-3815-4dfa-a4b0-95ab46c64324/Untitled_Artwork.png Illustrations - Editorial Work Thomas Kopperprent https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/fb6f1ab1-8cfc-440e-bf57-fc279bdd0811/Argos%3A_Vriend_Of_Vijand_Pt.png Illustrations - Editorial Work VPRO Gids - Argos, 'Friend or foe?' https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/b580a267-b4b3-4b02-964c-0696f9bd0ea3/Uithetzwartegatv4.png Illustrations - Editorial Work Uit het zwarte gat - Poster Design https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/661335fc-2bfc-483f-9b6d-47bb5fcb4703/Boekman_Cover_Zomereditie_V1.png Illustrations - Editorial Work Boekman Stichting - Artists and Power https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/1654516764508-WXSW091TD0HJYBHRLUUX/Dicriminatie_In_Voetbal_V2.jpg Illustrations - Editorial Work VPRO Gids - Discrimination in football https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/c6b004b7-100f-4989-aef8-8ce51370ab94/Volkskrant_V2.png Illustrations - Editorial Work Volkskrant - What you got is who you are https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/4bcc132a-91fb-4546-a15c-bd78b8943ca7/Woke_herkomst.png Illustrations - Editorial Work One World - What woke really means https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/af7549f2-a5ff-4864-abe4-9b42657cc360/VPRO_Gids_-_We_Groeien_Dood.png Illustrations - Editorial Work VPRO Gids - We grow ourselves to death https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/4ace5573-d2cd-42ee-90f2-8a933bed62db/Politiehondv2uitwerking.png Illustrations - Editorial Work One World - Do we need police dogs at demonstrations? https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/5e213c90-96a3-4917-a72c-a253e1b504f0/VPRO_Cancel_v1.png Illustrations - Editorial Work VPRO Gids - Cancel culture and it's effects https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/18018efc-953a-43ca-b731-41b5244cc073/NiB_-_Straat_Intimidatie.png Illustrations - Editorial Work Hard Hoofd - Women still aren't save https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/056fd487-1acb-4419-a558-01861e344ef0/Nib_Remkes.png Illustrations - Editorial Work Hard Hoofd - Remkes is helping with the formation https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f4cbfd87e959a224c4bc8c0/1604487270257-DFZU86QG3GXMS5FSA672/IMG_0061.jpg Illustrations - Editorial Work Why do went send the cops to deal with confused people?
